【摘要】:Thistestmethodissuitablefordeterminingtheconcentrationsofknownimpuritiesinfinishedbenzeneandforuseasanintegralqualitycontroltoolwherebenzeneiseitherproducedorusedinamanufacturingprocedure.Itisgenerallyappliedtoimpuritiessuchasnonaromaticscontainingninecarbonsorless,toluene,C8aromatics,and1,4-dioxane.Absolutepuritycannotbedeterminedifunknownimpuritiesarepresent.TestMethodD852isgenerallyusedasacriteriafordeterminingtheabsolutepurity.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofnormallyoccurringtraceimpuritiesin,andthepurityof,finishedbenzenebygaschromatography.1.2Thistestmethodisapplicableforbenzenepuritiesof99.80weight%orhigher.1.3Thelowerlimitofdetectionfortotalnon-aromaticimpuritiesis0.005weight%.Thelowerlimitofdetectionforindividualaromatichydrocarbonimpuritiesin0.001weight%.Thelowerlimitofdetectionfor1,4-dioxaneis0.0005weight%.1.4Indeterminingtheconformanceofthetestresultsusingthismethodtoapplicablespecifications,resultsshallberoundedoffinaccordancewiththeroundingoffmethodofPracticeE29.1.5&solely-SI-units;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection8.
