【摘要】:ISO14688-1,togetherwithISO14688-2,establishesthebasicprinciplesfortheidentificationandclassificationofsoilsonthebasisofthosematerialandmasscharacteristicsmostcommonlyusedforsoilsforengineeringpurposes.Therelevantcharacteristicsmayvaryandtherefore,forparticularprojectsormaterials,moredetailedsubdivisionsofthedescriptiveandclassificationtermsmaybeappropriate.Thegeneralidentificationanddescriptionofsoilsisbasedonaflexiblesystemforimmediate(field)usebyexperiencedpersons,coveringbothmaterialandmasscharacteristicsbyvisualandmanualtechniques.Detailsaregivenoftheindividualcharacteristicsforidentifyingsoilsandthedescriptivetermsinregularuse,includingthoserelatedtotheresultsoftestsfromthefield.ISO14688-1isapplicabletonaturalsoilsinsitu,similarman-madematerialsinsituandsoilsredepositedbyman.TheIdentificationanddescriptionofrocksiscoveredbyISO14689.Theidentificationandclassificationofsoilforpedologicalpurposes,aswellasintheframeworkofmeasurementsforsoilprotectionandforremediationofcontaminatedareas,iscoveredbyISO11259.
