【摘要】:NDTmeasurementofpavementsurfacedeflectionsprovidesinformationthatcanbeusedforthestructuralevaluationofneworin-servicepavements.Thesedeflectionmeasurementsmaybeusedtodeterminethefollowingpavementcharacteristics:Modulusofeachlayer.Overallstiffnessofthepavementsystem.LoadtransferefficiencyofPCCpavementjoints.Modulusofsubgradereaction.Effectivethickness,structuralnumber,orsoilsupportvalue.Bearingcapacityorloadcarryingcapacityofapavement.Theseparametersmaybeusedfortheanalysisanddesignofreconstructedandrehabilitatedflexibleandrigidpavements,pavementstructuraladequacyassessmentincludingjointefficiencyofPCCpavement,voiddetectioninPCCpavement,researchand/ornetworkstructuralinventorypurposes.1.1Thisguideprovidesproceduralinformationformeasuringpavementsurfacedeflections,directlyunder,oratlocationsradiallyoutward(offset)fromaknownstatic,steady-state,orimpulseload.Deflectionsaremeasuredwithsensorsthatmonitortheverticalmovementofapavementsurfaceduetotheload.Thisguidedescribesproceduresforthedeflectionmeasurementusingvariousdeflectiontestingdevicesandprovidesthegeneralinformationthatshouldbeobtainedregardlessofthetypeoftestingdeviceused.1.2Thisguideisapplicablefordeflectionmeasurementsperformedonflexibleasphaltconcrete(AC),rigidportlandcementconcrete(PCC),orcomposite(AC/PCC)pavements.Rigidpavementsmaybeplain,jointed,jointedreinforced,orcontinuouslyreinforcedconcrete.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Inch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationpurposesonly.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
